"Here comes the Royal endorsement of the Green Mobility. Our Next Big Thing is officially in action now and most lithium junior miners are rising today with the markets. We are preaching here already for another year about Green Mobility and these days this thing is taking off in mass media finally.

Our Generational Investment Opportunity based on Electrification of our transportation system depends not only on economics and technological advance, but on the simple "IF" - what if people decide that it is Cool To Drive Electric Cars? Adoption rate could change dramatically and our Lithium and REE plays will enjoy multiples to recent rock bottom valuations."

Spain’s socialist government had hoped to get 2,000 green cars on the road by the end of the year but so far only 16 of the vehicles have been sold.

She declared that her test-drive around the Majorcan capital, Palma, where the royal family holidays each summer, was “phenomenal”.

The government hopes that her jaunt will help boost sales of electric cars in Spain, which pledged to have a million on the road within four years.

Jose Luis Rodriquez Zapatero, the prime minister, has made electric car sales a centrepeice of his green agenda, promising to install battery top-up points in petrol stations and disused telephone booths across the country.

In April, the government said it would invest 590 million euros (£490 million) in the production of electric cars. A subsidy scheme of 80 million euros is in place to encourage sales, with the government funding 20 per cent of each purchase, or up to 6,000 euros per car.

The Peugot iON has been lent to Queen Sofia for her month’s holiday at the Marivent palace, where the Spanish royal family spends each August. Sent from Japan, it is a prototype that will not come on the market until December."
